Project Management is a difficult discipline. Investigations shows, that about 80 per cent of all it-projects failed in Sweden 2006 and the trend is negative. OKAPI has so far succeeded in its customer projects. OKAPI strive to continuously improve its high-qualitative project management services to its customers, e.g. through providing new services, education and refinement of its methods, tools and processes. OKAPI believes, that the main key success factor in project management lies in the project managers personality characteristics, which are built-in and can not be changed or substituted by training, methods and processes. Currently, OKAPI's project managers have a blend of the coordinator, driver and administrator profiles, including such characteristics as being credible, confident, committed, action-oriented, goal-focused, energetic, hard-working and self-starting. Another important success factor in software projects, is the software development knowledge and experience. Further, comprehensive industry background is required when acting in e.g. telecom industry. Regarding methods, tools and processes, OKAPI does not presume any particular project management process or methodology. OKAPI's approach is flexible, we adapt to the customers' needs.
